Your Discovery Flight Experience

From the moment you arrive until you land back at the airport, here's what your discovery flight will include.

Pre-Flight Briefing: Meet your certified flight instructor and learn about the aircraft, flight controls, and safety procedures. We'll discuss the flight plan and what you can expect during your flight.
Hands-On Flying: Take the controls and actually pilot the aircraft! You'll experience takeoff, flight maneuvers, and see the beautiful Tennessee and Mississippi countryside from above.
Post-Flight Discussion: After landing, debrief your flight experience and learn about our training programs. Get all your questions answered about becoming a pilot!

Discovery Flight FAQ

How long is a discovery flight?: A typical discovery flight lasts about 1-1.5 hours total, including the pre-flight briefing, approximately 30-45 minutes of actual flight time, and post-flight discussion.
What should I bring?: Just bring yourself and a valid photo ID! We recommend comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Sunglasses are also helpful.
Do I need any prior experience?: Not at all! Discovery flights are designed for people with no flying experience. Your certified flight instructor will guide you through everything.
Can I bring someone with me?: Yes! Our aircraft can accommodate one passenger in addition to you and the instructor. Family and friends are welcome to watch from the ground as well.
What if the weather is bad?: Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions aren't suitable for flying, we'll reschedule your discovery flight at no charge.
